| Luksik and Clymer believe that the strength of Pennsylvania lies in its families, not its government. They are running to restore to those families the right to control their financial destinies. |

Peg Luksik is often referred to as the "Housewife from Johnstown". Although she has also been a classroom teacher, small business owner, published author, television talk show host, nationally recognized education expert, founder and chairman of a service organization with programs in four states, and chairman of a national parents organization, she is most proud of her role as wife and mother. "We homemakers understand that we must live within our budgets. We can't go to our employers, claim a 'revenue shortfall', and vote ourselves a raise. It is appalling that career politicians feel free to take money away from Pennsylvania's families because they don't live by the same rules," she said. Peg thinks it is time for a change. "Like many of Pennsylvania's families, I know what it’s like to run out of money before you run out of month. It's time to elect a citizen who will stop the injustice of a system that overspends and raises taxes - expecting us to make do with less so the government can have more. Jim Clymer, an attorney from Lancaster, agrees. "It's frustrating to see politicians use funds that came from Pennsylvania's families to advance their ambitions. They treat state funds as their funds - doling them out to help pet projects, reward their supporters, or gain publicity. Any money collected from the hardworking people of Pennsylvania through taxes really belongs to them - and any surplus should be returned to them." |
